A Small Place For
A Great Experience

Stroll the best-preserved medieval fortified city in the world with a local guide, born in the very heart of it. Get introduced to the major city sights, evoke the glorious past times of the Republic of Dubrovnik and, at the same time, experience the real heartbeat of less than 1000 locals that still live within the City Walls.

Discover the most important sights of the Old City of Dubrovnik, a medieval heart surrounded by a stone ring of walls, more than one mile long. Dubrovnik Old City is considered the best-preserved medieval fortified city in the world, and it was enlisted on the UNESCO’s list of the world heritage in 1979. A stroll through the narrow stone lane network in front of the Rector’s or Sponza Palace, Cathedral and St. Blaise’s church, or over the main street Stradun, will introduce you to the former neutral and independent city-state and its residents.

“Every wonderful review about Vesna is completely accurate! We had the privileged of meeting Vesna when we booked a walking tour with her when we visited Dubrovnik at the end of September. From the first time I contacted Vesna, it was an absolute pleasure to work with her. She replied so quickly to every email and was so flexible when our cruise ship had to change our dock time so we needed to move our start time with her.”

“Loved Dubrovnik! Vesna is a fabulous tour guide. She met us at the city gates then took us on a excellent tour of Dubrovnik. Her history knowledge of the history is impressive. She is born and raised in the city which even made it even more interesting. Her walking tour is not to be missed. We would recommend her tour to anyone that is interested to learn from the best about this amazing city.”

“Vesna was the most amazing guide I’ve met. She’s so insightful about every corner in Dubrovnik, what is seen and what is unseen. Her witty sense of humour delights us as we appreciate more about life in medieval times, communist Yugoslavian years, homeland war, and the tourism boom era.
She’s so graceful with my kids that they enjoyed her company and surprises too.”

Well organized city-state

This small Mediterranean place, formerly known for its diplomacy, commerce and shipbuilding, was a well-organized city. Almost every aspect of the social life was regulated already in the 14th century. Water supplying and sewage system were built, health service and garbage disposal service were organized and regulated.

At the same time, on our Dubrovnik city tour you will peek into the hidden corners, in narrow and steep streets below the walls. There you will discover a real life of a small community that still lives in the UNESCO site in ancient homes, struggling with stairs and crowds, coping with strict conserving regulations and demands of tourism. Simply put, balancing between the history and modern life.
